Pet Portrait of Stetson, a Chocolate Lab

This pet portrait was drawn as a gift from one true pet lover to another. I knew that to make both the giver and the receiver happy I'd have to really capture Stetson's personality and his freckles!

Here is the original, a really good photo of Stetson.
In the drawing, I darkened the bricks that are further back and drew the ones around Stetson's head with less contrast so that all the visual emphasis is on his handsome face. I love that he looks like he's just chillin' out by the pool on a warm Florida weekend. I'd like to join him!
